Baptism - Jacob Thomas LeBorgne

Welcome little Jacob Thomas LeBorgne.  Jacob Thomas, son of Thomas and Amy (Kovalycsik) LeBorgne, was baptised at St. John’s on Sunday, September 23.  He joins sisters, Paige, Hannah, and Elena.  Amy is the daughter of. Nicholas and Peggy Kovalycsik of Wallington.  Godparents are Lauren (Baron) Silvestri and William LaBorgne.  Lauren Silvestri is the daughter of  Helen and Steve Baron of Clifton.

Baptism is a beginning and an entry into the church.  The baptismal experience is the fundamental Christian experience, the primary condition for the whole of Christian life.    Little Jacob was prayed over and blessed with sanctified oil as the sign that his creation by God is holy and good.  Then, after the solemn proclamation of “Alleluia”  (God be praised), Jacob was immersed three times in the water in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.   In Matthew 28:19-20, we read:   “Go therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the Name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you.”

It is with great joy and love we welcome Jacob Thomas LeBorgne and pray that God will grant him, his lovely sisters, Mom and his Dad, Grandparents and Godparents Many Years!
