Christ is Born! Glorify Him!

“Behold a new and wondrous mystery. My ears resound to the Shepherd’s song, piping no soft melody, but chanting full forth a heavenly hymn. The Angels sing. The Archangels blend their voice in harmony. The Cherubim hymn their joyful praise. The Seraphim exalt His glory. All join to praise this holy feast, beholding the Godhead here on earth, and man in heaven. He Who is above, now for our redemption dwells here below; and he that was lowly is by divine mercy raised.” From St. John Chrysostom’s Christmas Homily.

The Virgin today gives birth to Him who is above being: The earth gives a cave to the unapproachable. Angels with shepherds praise, wise men travel by a star. For a young child is born for us, who is God before all ages. (From Matins)

CHRIST IS BORN!                     GLORIFY HIM!

Father Igor, Mat. Anna, Maxim, and Sofia, the Board of Trustees of St. John’s Orthodox Church and all the parishioners wish all of you a Blessed Nativity Feast.
