Plan to join us in Church for this great Feast Day.  After Pascha and Pentecost, this is the greatest Feast of the Orthodox Church, predating even the Nativity of Christ in importance.  Here our Lord Jesus Christ is baptized in the waters of the Jordan, this being the first public manifestation of God the Word Incarnate to the world.  (From “These Truths We Hold”)

Congratulations to Father Kseniuk on the anniversary of his Ordination into the Holy Priesthood (January 7).  Many Years!  Happy Birthday to Helen Kurnewitz who will be celebrating her 97th  birthday on January 4.  On January 26, her sister Mary Hadginske will be celebrating her 95th birthday.  Both are still present at church each and every Sunday for Divine Liturgy!   Many Years!

Many thanks come from our Food Pantry coordinator, Helen Baron.  She thanks everyone for your generous donations throughout 2015.  May God grant all of you Many Years!  She encourages everyone to continue to be as generous in 2016 since our neighbors continue to be in need throughout these harsh times.

Save the dates:  the trustees’ meeting will be held on January 19.  General Confession will be held on January 9 following Great Vespers.

Having survived the hectic Christmas season and having rung in the New Year, our thoughts go to our own revival at the beginning of the year.   This year we will continue to struggle to lose weight, exercise more, spend less, renew family relationships and the list goes on and on. The list should start with a renewal of our spiritual lives.  Without Christ as the hub of our wheel of life, it is hard to face each day on a positive note when all we do is wobble along.   Come and join us and thank God for all His love and let Him help keep you on a straight path.
