Thus says the LORD : "Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, let not the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches;  but let him who glories glory in this, that he understands and knows Me, that I am the LORD who practice steadfast love, justice, and righteousness in the earth; for in these things I delight, says the LORD." ( Jer 9:23-24)

"So you, by the help of your God, return,hold fast to love and justice, and wait continually for your God."    (Hos 12:6)

Sow for yourselves righteousness, reap the fruit of steadfast love; break up your fallow ground, for it is the time to seek the LORD, that  He may come and rain salvation upon you. (Hos 10:12)

We magnify thee, O commander of God's armies Michael, and you archangels, angels, principalities, authorities, thrones, dominions, powers, cherubim and fearsome seraphim, who are glorifying the Lord.   (Magnification)

But the LORD is the true God;  He is the living God and the everlasting King.   At His wrath the earth quakes, and the nations cannot endure His indignation.  (Jer 10:10)

Be silent before the Lord GOD ! For the day of the LORD is at hand;    (Zeph 1:7)

The Nativity Fast has begun - 40 days before Christmas.     " Adorn yourself O Cavern.   Make ready, O Manger.  O Shepherds and wisemen, bring your gifts and bear witness.  For the Virgin is coming bearing Christ in her womb."     (Vesperal Hymn of St. Nicholas Day)"

For all the peoples walk each in the name of its god, but we will walk in the name of the LORD our God for ever and ever.   (Mic 4:5)

Yet I will rejoice in the LORD,  I will joy in the God of my salvation. GOD,  the Lord, is my strength;      (Hab 3:18-19)

Today is the prelude of the good will of God, of the preaching of the salvation of mankind.  The Virgin appears in the temple of God, in anticipation proclaiming Christ to all.  Let us rejoice and sing to her:  Rejoice, O Fulfillment of the Creator's dispensation!

O give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; for His steadfast love endures forever!    (1 Chron 16:34)

But you, O Bethlehem Eph'rathah, who are little to be among the clans of Judah, from you shall come forth for me one who is to be ruler in Israel, whose origin is from of old, from ancient days.   (Mic 5:2)

But the LORD is in His holy temple;   let all the earth keep silence before Him.    (Hab 2:20)
