FORGIVENESS SUNDAY AT ST. JOHN'S......

On Sunday, February 26, St. John's enjoyed a Maslenitsa hosted by Fr. Igor and Mat. Anna. We were all treated to an extensive menu of wonderful meatless pre-Lenten foods. Our delicious dessert was a birthday cake for Fr. Igor. During dessert, we watched a video of a lecture by Bishop Kallistos Ware on Great Lent. Everyone enjoyed the delicious food and the very informative video. Following the Maslenitsa, everyone gathered back at the church for Forgiveness Vespers. A very meaningful way to start the Lenten fast.
