GOOD BYE LIZ HATSKO.......

Aug 26, 2025

Elizabeth Hatsko, 93, fell asleep in the Lord on Tuesday, August 5. She was a devoted parishioner of St. John’s. Her pleasant smile and courteous attitude was her behavior to all those who knew her.  Liz was active until recently, and always helped in any way she was able to in any situation. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary and at one time was president of the organization. A lovely friend and hard worker at St. John’s, we all loved her and will miss her and we pray for her soul: “With the Saints give rest, O Christ, to the soul of Thy servant, where sickness and sorrow are no more, neither sighing, but life everlasting. Whither we mortals shall go, making our funeral dirge the hymn; Alleluia. May her Memory be Eternal.

Great Vespers - 5:00 PM

“Through the tender mercy of our God, With which the Dayspring from on high has visited us.” (Luke 1:78) Dayspring from on high is a reference to the Messiah who is coming like the rising sun to bring light to those in darkness.
