The Nativity of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was celebrated at St. John’s on the 25th of December with Divine Liturgy at 9:00 a.m. followed by a light luncheon that was served in the church hall.The luncheon was prepared by Maryann Stagen and Marilyn Stagen.Many thanks to both for a job very well done.Preparations for the Nativity Feast start with decorating the church and thanks go to those who were involved in that activity.
“Through the tender mercy of our God, With which the Dayspring from on high has visited us.” (Luke 1:78) Dayspring from on high is a reference to the Messiah who is coming like the rising sun to bring light to those in darkness.
