Saying Good-bye to Mary Ann Dolak…..

Mary Ann Dolak peacefully fell asleep in the Lord on Friday, March 10, 2023. The parishioners at St. John’s send deepest sympathy to her family and friends. Mary Ann was a devoted parishioner of our church and was always ready to volunteer and help in any way she could during all our many events. St. John’s past history was filled with people like Mary Ann who tirelessly worked for their beloved church. As a loyal and hardworking member of the Board of Trustees and the Passaic “O” Club, Mary Ann worked with many parishioners and was a friend to all of us who knew her and loved her.

Mary Ann’s steady attendance at the services never wavered. Although many times it was evident that getting to church and climbing the stairs was a painful effort, her perseverance carried her through. We, who considered Mary Ann a friend, will miss her easy smile and calm demeanor. She was our partner each Sunday at coffee hour until recently and the loss of her presence has touched us profoundly.

Mary Ann is survived by her two sisters, Barbara and Judy and many cousins, aunts, nephews and nieces. She is predeceased by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Dolak who were founding members of St. John’s and long time parishioners before they fell asleep in the Lord many years ago.

“Grant eternal repose and blessed sleep, O Lord, to your departed servant Mary Ann. May she rest in a place where all pain, sorrow, and sighing have fled away and where the Light of Your countenance shines. Memory eternal”

A picture collection honoring Mary Ann can be seen in the Photo Gallery.  More information will be forthcoming.
