The 2026 Annual Diocesan Assembly will be held Thursday, October 29th through Friday, October 30th at Mother of God Orthodox Church, 904 Cherry Hill Road, Princeton, NJ 08540. Father Maryan is planning to attend.
The wonderworking Hawaiian Iveron Icon of the Mother of God will be at the Orthodox Christian Church of the Annunciation at 360 Van Zile Road, Brick, New Jersey on Wednesday evening October 21. The Akathist service will begin at 6:00 PM followed by the veneration of the Holy Icon and anointing of the faithful with Holy Oil. All are welcome! It will also be at the Assumption Church in Clifton on Tuesday, October 20 at 11 AM and at Christ the Savior church, Paramus Tuesday, October 20 at 6:00 PM.
A new app for your phone was created called “Lampada.” It was designed by Nektarios (Manny) Montiel, a parishioner of St. Vladimir Orthodox Church in Trenton, NJ and is available with the blessing of His Eminence Archbishop Michael, of the Diocese of New York and New Jersey. It was developed as a companion for daily Orthodox Christian life. Lampada brings together the Church calendar, daily Scripture readings, fasting guidance, commemorations of the saints, prayers, and other resources in one convenient app.

The NJ District will hold its convention business sessions on Sunday, November 1, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Ss. Peter & Paul Church Hall in Bayonne (98 West 28th Street).
Our Governor, Rebecca Kozak, was elected National Vice President at the National Convention in Broadview Heights, Ohio, this past July. We congratulate Rebecca on her new position! However, this does mean we will be electing a new District Governor at this meeting. Also planned at this meeting are updates to national bylaws regarding membership, voting, and dues changes.
The New Jersey District will be celebrating its 75th Anniversary at this convention meeting with a dinner “Autumn Evening” on November 7 at 6:00 PM. Tickets are $40 and must be purchased by November 1st.
