Saying Good-bye to Helen Rahnefeld...........

Helen (nee Sutyak) Rahnefeld, 94, of Clifton, passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2023. Born and raised in Passaic, Mrs. Rahnefeld resided most of her life in Clifton. Before her retirement in 1996, Helen was employed at the Passaic Internal Medical Group for 27 years as a Medical Billing Secretary. Previously, she was employed as a secretary at Hoffman LaRoche in Nutley.

 

Helen was a lifelong active parishioner of St. John the Baptist R.O. Church in Passaic having been a member of the church Choir, serving as Secretary of the Board of Trustees and on the Sunday School staff, the Visitation Society and the Ladies Auxiliary of which she was Past President. She was also a member of the Mothers Club there and the Passaic “R” Club.  Photos of Helen are in the Photo Gallery.

 

Helen was predeceased by her beloved husband, Richard O. Rahnefeld in 1984; one son, Jeffrey Rahnefeld; one daughter-in-law, Barbara Rahnefeld; two brothers: Peter Sutyak and his wife, Olga and Michael Sutyak.

 

Survivors include: one son, Richard P. Rahnefeld; one daughter, Janice Pecoraro and her husband, Joseph; and four grandchildren: Alissa Paduani and her husband, Michael and Joseph Pecoraro, Jeffrey Rahnefeld and Kimberly Rahnefeld.

 

Visitation will be held Thursday from 4 to 8 pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Parastas 6:00pm. Funeral services will be held Friday 9:15 am from the funeral home and 10:00 am at St. John the Baptist R.O. Church, 170 Lexington Ave., Clifton. Interment to follow at East Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clifton.
