"And she brought forth her firstborn Son,and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn."   (Luke 2:6-7)     So all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying:  "Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call his name Immanuel,"  which is translated, "God with us."  (Matthew 22-23)   And he called His name Jesus.   (Matthew 1:25)


When You, O Lord were baptized in the Jordan,

The worship of the Trinity was made manifest

For the voice of the Father bore witness to You

And called You His beloved Son.

His Eminence, Archbishop Michael Visits St. John's........
We were honored to have His Eminence, Archbishop Michael here for the Divine Liturgy on Saturday August 29 for the Holy Day of the Beheading of St. John the Baptist. It was also Vladyka's birthday. His Eminence presented Fr. Maryan with a Paliza of the Theotokos in honor of Fr.'s 30th Anniversary in the Priesthood.

We were blessed to have our Archbishop Michael join us here at St. John's for Divine Liturgy on June 24 to help us celebrate the Nativity of St. John the Baptist. May God bless him abundantly and grant him Many Years!
