Saying Good-Bye to Marion Nagel ..........

Marion Nagel has fallen asleep in the Lord on August 4, 2022. She resided in North Carolina with her daughter Laura and peacefully departed this life after a long illness. She was predeceased by her devoted husband, Edward and another daughter. She leaves behind daughters, Laura and her family, with whom she resided, and Diane and her family and a son, Edward Jr.

Marion was the Financial Secretary at St. John’s for more than a decade and a dedicated parishioner for much longer. St. John’s past history was filled with people like Marion who tirelessly worked for their beloved church. As a loyal and hardworking member of the Board of Trustees, the Passaic “O” Club, and the Ladies Auxiliary, Marion worked with many parishioners, Genevieve Bobenko. Helen Rahnefeld, AnnaMae Beckmann and so many others to organize and run church events and many fund-raising affairs at St. John’s. Through the help of Marion and others like her, St. John’s was able to build the large school building that now sustains our presence. For Marion, she was rewarded for her commitment to St. John’s by the loyal and loving friends she made here and kept in touch with throughout the years and who will miss her. “Grant rest eternal in blessed repose, O Lord, to Thy servant, Marion, who is fallen asleep, and make her memory to be eternal! Memory Eternal!"    We here at St. John's extend our deepest sympathy to the entire family on her passing.    Pictures of our memories with Marion are in the Photo Gallery.
