Welcome Fr. Maryan, Mat. Lana and Michael and Irina.....

August has been a transition month for St. John’s. On Sunday, July 28, following Father Igor’s last Divine Liturgy at our church, we sadly said goodbye to Father, and to Matushka Anna, Maxim and Sofia. Despite the sadness in our hearts to see them leave our church family, we wished them well and God’s blessings at their new assignment and home. We know that their new parish family will embrace them all with love as we did here and that God will bless them abundantly.

We here at St. John’s, have been blessed also. Our heartfelt appreciation goes to His Eminence, Archbishop Michael who worked assiduously on our behalf and our gratitude is extended to our Dean, Fr. Gary Breton. All our services were held with the help of Fr. Paul Kucynda, Fr. Sam Kadala, and also help from Fr. Stephen Evanina. We appreciate all their support and service. We now are very pleased and humbly grateful to have as our pastor V. Rev. Maryan Chaykivsky. We are looking forward to a spiritual and rewarding relationship with Fr. Maryan, Matushka Lana, and their son, Michael and daughter, Irina. “I will wash my hands in innocence; so I will go about Your altar, O Lord, that I may proclaim with the voice of thanksgiving, and tell of all Your wondrous works. Lord, I have loved the habitation of Your house, and the place where Your glory dwells.” (Psalm 26:6-8) We, here at St. John’s, also have loved the habitation of the Lord’s house, and the place where His glory dwells and with the joyous voice of thanksgiving, we all warmly welcome Fr. Maryan, Mat. Lana, Michael and Irina to our parish family. Pictures are in the Photo Gallery.
